On 5 July, a delegation of members of the New Energies Coalition met at Tangram, the CMA CGM Group's brand-new innovation and training centre, for its annual event.
This was a first for GRTGaz, which joined the Coalition in November 2023, and for the Renault Group, which officially became the 20th member.
In the 4 years of its existence, the Coalition members have worked together on the development of biofuels and e-fuels for maritime and aviation transport, the decarbonisation of long-distance and last-mile transport, the electrification of ports, the key role of data, the development of 100% dedicated maritime biofuels, and concrete innovation projects such as the development of a carbon capture system on board a container carrier.
The conclusions of several recent studies, notably on the "Ship dismantling market: challenges and prospects" and "E-saf production routes", will be published in September 2024.
With 4 new working groups validated and strategic partnerships upcoming, the New Energies Coalition remains more determined than ever to accelerate the transition of our sector.
