The New Energies Coalition, as part of its working group “Assess best pathways to e-fuels for aviation”, is proud to reveal an insightful report and a brand-new media campaign on “The Role of e-SAF in Reaching Net Zero“. ✈️
It is widely recognized that SAF will have to play an essential role in the sector’s decarbonization journey, both in the short and long term. Among the different SAF pathway options, e-fuels from captured carbon dioxide and green hydrogen boast near-zero life-cycle emissions.
Given their potential scalability, e-SAFs could strongly contribute towards ambitious decarbonization targets by 2050. However, e-fuels will have to become commercially available and be deployed at large scale in order to contribute to a sustainable aviation transition.
